Convocations are an important part of the academic experience and support the College’s mission and vision. These campus-wide presentations are designed to promote the intellectual, moral, social, aesthetic, and spiritual development of students.
All students must complete 30 convocations, except those entering as transfer students. For transfer students, the requirement is calculated as 30 minus one-quarter of the credits successfully transferred to the College prior to their first semester. Additional transfer credits earned after enrollment do not further reduce the requirement.
Students are expected to attend convocations each semester and complete the requirement by the end of their junior year. Progress can be monitored through an academic advisor, the Office of Academic Affairs, or on Connect2.
Students enrolled in fully online programs who have earned an associate degree (A.A., A.D.N., or A.S.) or have at least one year of relevant work experience are exempt from the convocation requirement.
