Certain courses at Illinois College are designated as co-requisites and are intended to be taken together. If a student withdraws from a course that is a co-requisite for a second course, they will automatically be withdrawn from both.
Students may request an exception by appealing to the Dean of Faculty. The Dean will consult with the relevant faculty and program chair(s) before making a decision. Exceptions may be granted only when the student can reasonably succeed in the remaining course without the co-requisite. Appeals based on financial aid, athletic eligibility, graduation timing, or other non-academic factors will not be considered.
