ED 454: Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching

This course prepares teacher candidates to engage in culturally and linguistically responsive practices to support diverse learners in PreK-12 classrooms. In this course, students will explore relationships between language, culture, and cultural awareness to support diverse student learners, as well as methods for building cultural and linguistic diversity in classroom. Students will also examine best practices for supporting culturally and linguistically diverse learners and their families. All post-baccalaureate licensure and ESL endorsement students are required to take this class.
