Administered by the Department of Global Studies
In today’s world, business is both global and local. Businesses operate in communities built around different languages and cultures. Even local businesses are global with imports, exports, and a multicultural workforce. By completing the requirements of the Global Business Certificate, students will develop the linguistic competencies and cultural knowledge needed to work and live in environments that are culturally different from their own. Students will also learn the ethics of doing business internationally and will develop the strategies and flexibility necessary to conduct business in countries with differing socioeconomics conditions and cultures. Students will achieve this through a combination of classes and immersive experiences in a country where the language studied is spoken.
