Global Science Certificate

GLOBAL SCIENCE CERTIFICATE

Learning about scientific research in other countries and conducting scientific research internationally helps prepare students to contribute to a multicultural society, in which the greatest problems to be solved are both local and global in nature. By completing the requirements of the Global Science Certificate, students will develop the linguistic competencies and cultural knowledge needed to work and live in environments that are culturally different from their own.  Students will also learn the ethics of doing science internationally and will learn the strategies and flexibility necessary to successfully conduct scientific research or apply scientific knowledge abroad. Students will achieve this through a combination of classes and immersive laboratory and/or field study experience in the country where the target language is spoken.

Requirements:
