Requirements for declaring a nursing major at the end of the first year:
- A “C” or better in BI 110 – General Biology (or the equivalent) and CH 103—General, Organic, & Biological Chemistry (or the equivalent)
- A college cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Successful completion of a minimum of 28 college credits
- A score of Proficient or higher on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS)

Additional Requirements
Students must earn a grade of “C-” or higher in all nursing and nursing support courses required for the nursing major. A failure in the clinical practicum will result in failure of the course, regardless of classroom performance. (See the Nursing Handbook for additional information on program requirements.)
Students must maintain satisfactory progress through and completion of courses in each semester, including first year and sophomore level, in accordance with the Traditional Track Degree Plan and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 to progress through the Nursing Program.
